2. Temple of the Fates

You make your way to the Temple of the Fates, on the outskirts of the city. You seek an audience with the mysterious Fates, in order to learn your destiny and complete your quest for hope. At the altar, there is a scale, with six glowing pillars of stone. If you can use the scale to prove that you mean to bring balance to mankind, you will be rewarded with the appearance of the Fates.

You must go now to the altar of the fates, and prove yourself worthy to receive their gifts. Prove that you mean to bring balance to mankind, and they will reveal your destiny, written into the quest stone. Go now, and bring hope to mankind.

Hint #1

You do not need to use all the pillars. Use the button on the bottom to release the lock and test the weights.

Hint #2

The height of each pillar is scaled relative to its weight.

Hint #3

The movement of the scales can be very subtle for small wieght differences. You will know when they are truly equal.

Hint #4

The correct combination cannot be achieved using the brown pillar.

Hint #5

The red pillar should equal the weight of the purple and yellow pillars, combined.
